Zinc formaldehyde fixatives improve general morphology and immunohistochemical staining. They eliminate the need for antigen recovery procedures while preserving immunoreactivity for months. When used as directed, they make excellent substitutes for mercuric fixatives such as B-5. All of our zinc products are compatible with all tissue processors. They may be used in place of neutral buffered formalin completely or in combination with it.
