While alcohol and xylene are almost universally used for tissue processing, they are responsible for many artifacts and sectioning problems because of their tendency to shrink and harden specimens. It is very difficult to handle biopsies, lymphatic tissues, uterus and fat together without having some either over- or under-processed. Our dehydrant and clearant do not remove bound water, and hence keep tissues in a more natural state. Solvent usage can be reduced, saving money on purchases and disposal. If safety is your problem, these solvents are the solution.
